The Gaétane are a unique piece, size Medium, entirely handmade in Quebec. Their creation required 14 hours of meticulous work, and only one pair is available.

The back of the hand is crafted from immaculate black curly sheepskin in recycled fur, offering a rich and deep texture. The top of the thumb is also made of recycled curly sheepskin, ensuring an elegant and enveloping continuity. An immaculate white Norwegian fox fur band in recycled fur adorns the wrist, sourced from Gaétane's coat, proudly worn to midnight mass and on special occasions. The palm and the underside of the thumb are made of beautifully thick, supple, and resistant suede leather. The top and bottom of the forearm are made of embossed Italian leather, with a prominent relief, originating from shoe factory scraps. The ensemble creates a noble contrast between softness, structure, and character.

These mittens carry a powerful story. Gaétane's coat, a symbol of pride, tradition, and momentous occasions, transcends time to become a wearable work of art. Each stitch is a way to transmit a memory, to respect the past, and to offer it a new life, full of meaning.

When you wear them, eyes naturally turn to your hands. People will stop you, ask where you found them, and tell you they are magnificent. And when you explain that they are made from recycled fur from an old coat steeped in history, the admiration will grow even more. This pride far surpasses that of a coat, boots, or shoes.

Inside, the comfort is remarkable. The inner mitten is made of felt, ultra-soft synthetic sheepskin, and felt. From the moment you put them on, the feel is soft, enveloping, and comforting. It is very light, breathable, creates no sensation of dampness or sweaty hands. It slides easily inside the outer mitten, doesn't snag, and can be put on and removed effortlessly. It is machine washable and dryable, designed to offer lasting comfort even with prolonged use.

The fit is secured by a wrist strap, ensuring warmth and comfort are held in place.
