⭐ What distinguishes the special Patchwork edition from the conventional model?

✔ Even more artistic workmanship

For this special edition, I sew together small pieces of fur, one by one, to create a unique assembly of textures, colors, and patterns.

This requires more construction and sewing. It’s my way of pushing my creativity even further, while giving a second life to my smallest scraps!

✔ A pom-pom that moves a little more

On the conventional model, the pom-pom is attached directly to the body of the toy.

On the special Patchwork edition, a small cord connects the pom-pom to the body. When your cat bats at it, the pom-pom has a little more freedom of movement!

✔ Will my cat like the special edition more?

Honestly, your cat will probably not notice the entire artistic difference… even though I put more work into it! 😁

The movement of the pom-pom might please them, but that does not guarantee they will prefer this edition over the conventional model.

If your choice is based on price, the conventional model remains a very beautiful option. The special Patchwork edition is above all the pleasure of choosing an even more artistic creation and a unique assembly. ❤️

Many of my customers like to alternate between two toys: one containing catnip and the other a few treats. This little rotation can renew their cat's interest.

⭐ Why do cats seem to love it so much?

✔ The texture of genuine fur

Genuine fur offers a texture and scent that attract many cats and invite them to explore the toy in their own way.

Seeing them rub and snuggle against their ArtAbaska Companion, one might almost believe it reminds them of their mother’s softness… but that’s just my little theory!

✔ The best-kept secret is still there… 🤫

Under the belly of the toy is a small hidden compartment where you can add a pinch of catnip or a few treats suitable for your cat.

There is no Velcro, and that is quite normal. I intentionally designed the toy this way to allow your feline to discover what is hidden inside while they play.

Your cat will be able to smell it, manipulate it, roll it around, nibble it, and chase it to try to discover their little treasure.

Before each shipment, I personally add a small pinch of catnip so that your cat can discover their new Companion and its “wow” effect as soon as you present it to them!

❤️ A second life for my smallest scraps

I craft these toys with my own artisan hands, in my studio, from scraps of my collection. They come from old genuine fur coats that were the pride of many women between the 1960s and 1990s.

With the special Patchwork edition, I go even further in recycling: the small pieces are assembled and sewn one by one to form the body of the toy.

Each assembly becomes a small artistic creation, with its own contrasts, textures, and colors. No two can be replicated exactly the same.

Rather than leaving these magnificent scraps unused, I offer them a second life by transforming them into companions for cats.

I love the idea that such a noble material continues to bring joy… this time, to a completely different member of your family: your beloved kitties!

🐱 Every cat is unique

Some cats adopt their Companion immediately, even if they aren't usually big players. They may carry it gently, keep it near them, leave it in their favorite spot, or sleep beside it.

Others become true hunters: they throw it, shake it, nibble it, and chase it all over the house!

However, some cats will show little or no interest. Each cat has their own personality and preferences; therefore, it is impossible to guarantee an identical reaction for everyone.

The photos, videos, and comments I receive from my customers nevertheless let me discover beautiful stories between cats and their ArtAbaska Companion!

🐾 Little tips to renew their interest

✔ Store the toy in a safe place for a few days, then bring it back out. The novelty effect can revive their interest!

✔ Alternate between two toys, with a small pinch of catnip in one and a few treats in the other.

✔ If your cat reacts well to it, you can also use a catnip spray intended for cats directly on the toy. 🐱❤️

📦 What you will receive

An ArtAbaska Companion from the special Patchwork edition, meticulously crafted from small pieces of genuine recycled fur, assembled and sewn one by one.

✔ A unique assembly of textures, colors, and patterns.

✔ A pom-pom connected to the body by a small cord, for more movement.

✔ A supple, genuine leather tail, adorned with real embroidery.

✔ A small pinch of catnip already placed inside.

Each creation is unique and the choice is random.

The colors, patterns, their arrangement, and the types of fur are chosen at random according to the available materials. It is therefore not possible to choose a specific assembly. The photos show examples of this edition.

The general format remains similar from one toy to another, with the natural variations inherent to artisanal crafting.

📌 Important information

Why doesn’t the compartment have Velcro?

This is an entirely voluntary design choice, just like for my conventional model.

The compartment is left open so that a small amount of catnip can escape while your cat plays. It is therefore completely normal to find a little bit on your floor: it is part of how the toy works.

This opening allows your cat to explore the compartment and discover the catnip or small treats you have placed inside.

The absence of a closure is not a manufacturing defect.

If you are looking for a completely closed toy that never lets catnip escape, this product will likely not meet your expectations.

Durability

This toy is made from genuine recycled fur, a natural material. It is crafted with care, but it is not indestructible.

Some cats will play gently with their Companion for a very long time. Others, much more energetic, may damage or even destroy it quickly. Its lifespan therefore varies according to your animal’s way of playing.

The special Patchwork edition features several assembly seams as well as a small cord between the body and the pom-pom. Regularly check the condition of the entire toy, especially the seams, the cord, the pom-pom, and the tail.

Safety

This toy is intended for cats and must be used under the owner's supervision.

It is the owner's responsibility to ensure that it is suitable for their animal and to regularly check its condition.

Do not let your cat swallow the cord, the tail, the fur, or any other part of the toy. If a piece detaches, if the cord frays, or if the toy shows signs of deterioration, remove it immediately.

Store the toy out of your animal's reach when you cannot supervise its use.

Regular shipping is free, paid out of my own pocket as an artisan.

The toy is shipped via Canada Post, without a tracking number.

The usual delivery time is 7 to 15 business days. It can sometimes be a little longer.

Business days exclude weekends and holidays.

You will receive a confirmation email when your order is shipped. Since this shipment does not include a tracking number, it is not possible to track its progress or confirm its delivery in real time.

If an automatic status indicates “Delivered” when you have not yet received your shipment, this status does not constitute a confirmation of delivery by Canada Post.
