Cat toys made from recycled fur

Play also helps keep your cat active and stimulated, while helping them combat boredom.

Many of my customers like to alternate between two toys: one containing catnip and the other some treats. This small alternation often renews their cat's interest.

⭐ Why do cats seem to love it so much?

The answer is simple: this toy stimulates several of their natural instincts.

✔ Real fur has a texture and smell that many cats find irresistible. Seeing them rub and snuggle against their ArtAbaska Companion, one might almost believe it reminds them of their mother's softness… but that's just my little theory!

The Companion has a small secret compartment that awakens its hunting instinct.

Under the toy's belly is an opening where you can add a pinch of catnip or some treats.

There's no Velcro, and that's perfectly normal. I intentionally designed the toy this way to make the game even more interactive and stimulating for your feline.

Your cat will have to sniff it, manipulate it, roll it, bite it, and chase it to try and discover its treasure.

Before each shipment, I personally add a small pinch of catnip so your cat can enjoy its new Companion and its "wow" effect as soon as it arrives.

❤️ A second life for an exceptional material

I craft these toys with my artisan hands, in my workshop, from the scraps of my year's collection. They come from old genuine fur coats that were the pride of many women between the 1960s and 1990s.

Rather than leaving these magnificent scraps unused, I give them a second life by transforming them, one by one, into high-end cat toys.

🐱 Every cat is unique

Some cats immediately adopt their Companion, even if they aren't usually big players. They might gently carry it, keep it close, place it in their favorite spot, or sleep next to it.

Others become true hunters: they throw it, shake it, bite it, chase it all over the house, and play with incredible energy.

As with all toys for animals, a small percentage of cats will show little or no interest. Each cat has its own personality and preferences; it is therefore impossible to guarantee an identical reaction for all.

That said, the numerous photos, videos, and comments I receive show that the vast majority of cats seem to greatly appreciate their ArtAbaska Companion.

🐾 Small tip

If your cat loses interest in its toy after a while, put it away in a safe place for a few days, then bring it back out. The novelty effect can rekindle their interest!

You can also, if your cat reacts well to it, spray a little catnip spray directly on the toy to make it even more attractive. 🐱❤️

📦 What you will receive

I craft each toy one by one with meticulous care and even add genuine embroidery on its tail.

As they are made from recycled genuine fur scraps, no two toys are identical. The color and type of fur of your model will therefore be chosen at random according to available materials. However, the dimensions and shape will remain the same.

Each toy is shipped with a small pinch of catnip already inside so your cat can enjoy it upon arrival.

Important Information

Why doesn't the compartment have Velcro?

This is an entirely voluntary design choice.

The compartment is left open so that a small amount of catnip can escape while your cat plays. It is therefore perfectly normal to find some on your floor: this is even the desired effect.

By allowing the scent and a few pieces of catnip to gradually diffuse, the toy generally remains much more stimulating than if it were completely closed.

If the compartment had Velcro, much less catnip would come out, and many cats might quickly lose interest.

If you are looking for a completely closed toy that never lets out catnip, this product will probably not meet your expectations.

Durability

This toy is made from genuine fur, a natural material. It is robust, but it is not indestructible.

Some cats will play gently with their Companion for a very long time. Others, much more energetic, may damage or even destroy it quickly. Its lifespan therefore depends entirely on how your pet plays.

I recommend regularly checking the condition of the toy and discontinuing its use if it shows significant signs of wear or deterioration.

Safety

This toy must be used under the owner's supervision.

Since each cat has different behavior, it is up to the owner to ensure that the toy is suitable for their pet and to regularly check its condition. If the toy is damaged, discontinue use immediately.

🚚 Delivery

The toy is shipped via Canada Post, without a tracking number.

The usual delivery time is 7 to 15 business days.

It can happen that the system shows the status "Delivered" before your mail carrier actually drops off your package. In the absence of a tracking number, this status may simply indicate that your shipment is still in transit or being delivered.
